Good Morning, Mr. Puddleduck!

This morning I witnessed an actual puddleduck, though I didn't have my camera or phone on me to document it. I thought it was just a figment from a Beatrix Potter story, but no. Puddleducks are for real. This evening, on my walk with Rookie, both the duck and the puddle had disappeared. But the moon was full and beautiful.

Elemental Beauty

Some friends and I spent the day in Yosemite Valley between Christmas and New Year's. It was snowing all day, so all we got was fresh powder, plus all the sights, sounds and sensations that new snowfall brings to you.

There's nothing like the elements to reconnect you to life and the earth.
